As mentioned in the previous post, compare the experiences of the two different Center parks frequented by the Syklop: tops of Heath and the Lake of fin.
Booking
For the Ailette Lake, so: the booking is made online, the official site of Center Parcs, a week before leaving (the syklops, because they are not strong to plan their holidays well in advance). Reservation from Switzerland, so. As there is no such thing as a centerparcs.ch, we have the possibility to go through centerparcs.com (English) or centerparcs.fr (in french). So far, it's quite logical. What is a lot less is that the offer proposed on one or the other of these sites is different: each offers availability of "cottages" different, and each at different prices. According to my 2 personal experiences (2007 and 2008), it is better to speak English: it's about € 20 cheaper week. Otherwise, there wasn't that on the site, a cottage with extra "edge of the Lake". In my order, I had imagined that the Park was almost complete, and I'd be happy to again find a place. But I was wrong: a few days after, so 2 days before departure, there were cottages Brads to 60% of the price that the syklop paid. The same type of cottage, except that it was not located by the Lake. But a lake-side terrace when it takes 5 degrees outside, it has a relative importance… In addition, the Park was full to about 50% in the week where we were, according to one of the guards of pool bored. Conclusion: Do not rely on what the site offers: call to see if there's something else, and wait until the last minute if you dare (and if you're out of French school holidays). And, for the Swiss, go through the CHT…
Arrival
Since the Switzerland, the travel time by car is more or less equivalent to the Lake of fin or the tops of Heath: the Ailette Lake is more remote, but there are more motorway. It takes about, more or less, I think, 6 h 30 trip from Lausanne. Arrival, everything is fine (almost): quick access, distribution of badges for entry of the cottages. If we get there before 3 pm, you can enjoy the pool, pending the availability of the cottage. Cool. Looking more in detail, we notice that the cottage which had been assigned to us has changed at the last moment. But it doesn't change much. On the other hand, 3 cards for access to the cottages. The problem is that they are numbered "1/4", "3/4" and "4/4". And where is the 2/4? Trying to ask the question, it is taken for aliens, and we got 2 different responses to the host or gateway: one will tell us that the card needs to be used temporarily by the maid, the other will tell us it's normal because frequently there are printing problems, and that is probably what has happened to the 2/4. In short: Touch wood for this 2/4 would not be ill-intentioned hands… I can assure you: Ca has obviously not been the case. Suite tomorrow!…
