UberPop, the formula Lowcost of Uber, stops in Lausanne

The noise has been running in a very insistent way for some time: UberPop, the very controversial "lowcost" variant of the Uber service, stops in Lausanne.

Rumors were talking about the end of the year 2017. But it will be on March 1, 2018 that UberPop cease its services. Ubers, however, the "professional" version of Uber services, will continue to work.

The news was formalized this week by an Uber mail to its partners, urging them to prepare for Ubers:

The good news is that on this date, the services of Uber will be regularized, and that they will no longer be reproached for flirting with the limits of the law. It will remain however for some a mass of ethical problems for this service and this company …

However, Uber is still looking for UberPop drivers, for now. and goes by March 2018 to need additional Uber drivers. For new customers as passengers, the first race is offered.
