The explanations

A promo code was indeed proposed on this page in a completely official way. However, Uber disabled this promo code without notice certainly because they were bothered that it is too often used. They justified this by a violation of their terms and conditions.

It's, on the whole, a common way of working at home: They put their customers in front of the fait accompli, with often arbitrary decisions, in favor of Uber. And since the customer has little way to contact them, they start from the idea that the customer will give up. They don't care about the image they leave behind.

In short, they don't respect the customer like you and me. Whether you're a consumer, a restaurateur, a passenger or a driver.

My Uber Eats Experience

I ordered my lunch a few dozen times from Uber Eats. In 80% of cases, delivery is OK. But there's still the other 20%. And 20% is a lot:

First there are the deadlines: A delivery to the city center is between 10 and… Fifty-five minutes. The delays mentioned are often folkloric, and there is no way to get compensation if its delivery is delayed. I've just not had time to eat because Uber delivery was a long way behind.

Then I no longer count the delivery errors, the spilled salads in the bag or the poorly closed containers that overflow.

And the price, we talk about it? The prices displayed on Uber Eats are often higher than the prices charged directly in the restaurants that supply. And that's not counting the delivery fee of CHF 4.90 that they add. So Uber Eats is expensive.

In addition, we quickly went around the Uber Eats offer: Chinese, Burgers, Sushis, Tacos: Apart from this Junk food, there is not much.
